JLL
See what working with the right agency is like. I help CRE teams produce better work in less time.

Intro
JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle) is a Fortune 500 global commercial real estate firm: $20.9B in annual revenue, 103,000+ employees, and operations across 80+ countries. Its Charlotte creative team runs national CRE marketing across office towers, industrial logistics parks, mixed-use developments, and multifamily communities. JA Design came in through a referral, the way most enterprise creative relationships actually start, as embedded senior design capacity for a high-velocity team.
The Challenge
It wasn't one broken thing. It was volume and variety.
A high-velocity team supporting national commercial real estate deals runs on a constant stream of deliverables: digital ads for a Class A office tower in Atlanta, event collateral for an industrial park in Florida, a broker pitch for a Nashville music company, a logo system for a logistics center in New Jersey. Every project lands in a different market, a different format, a different property type. Every project has a deadline.
In that environment, a designer who needs a long ramp costs more than they contribute. One who can only do half the work types creates a bottleneck at the creative director's desk. When JLL Creative needed capacity, they needed someone who could show up, learn the brand, and get into the work fast, without hand-holding and without narrowing the team's range.
Work
I developed marketing materials for high-profile properties

"Josh joined our team and immediately made a positive impact, quickly integrating and contributing to projects with his entergetic gusto. Both our teams and clients enjoyed working with him, and he reliably handled any task with energy and enthusiasm. As a versatile designer, Josh excelled in both print and digital projects—a rare quality among his peers. He was always a pleasure to work with, and we were fortunate to have him on our team."

The Approach
Get in fast. Then make the next one faster.
Josh Anderson joined the JLL Charlotte creative team in November 2021 as a contract Senior Graphic Designer. The mandate was simple: get into the work as fast as possible and be useful immediately. Rachel Snow, Senior Art and Creative Director, noted he was "able to get right in with our team and start working on projects almost immediately." Over 20 months, his contribution expanded across eight service categories:
- Property marketing: produced property videos, brochures, and multi-piece leasing ad campaigns for Class A office towers and industrial parks.
- Industrial branding: logo systems and brand identities for logistics and commerce centers, with rationale, colorways, and usage variants.
- Event collateral: full event identity suites, celebrity-chef broker invites, and directional signage across multiple markets.
- Branded collateral: pull-up banners, tour-gift packaging, and on-brand environmental pieces.
- RFPs and proposals: an estimated 40+ designed proposals and brokerage qualification documents, including Fortune 500 pitches.
- Animation and motion: animation templates that expanded the team's animated-ad capacity, plus training on advanced techniques for other designers.
- Digital and web: email and website design built to the JLL brand system.
- Workflow and AI: active work on JLL's internal AI use-case team, integrating AI into existing creative workflows.
The approach never changed: understand the need, execute with quality, then find the process improvement that makes the next one faster. Throughout, Josh consistently led the five-person designer group in project output.
The Implication
What 175 projects actually means.
175 projects. 20 months. One five-person team. Josh designed an estimated 40+ proposals and RFP submissions, and project managers reported that proposals he contributed to resulted in more than $15 million in won contracts, with design as one part of a larger team effort. The work reached at least five states and spanned Class A office towers, industrial logistics parks, mixed-use, and multifamily, from a Downtown Charlotte skyscraper to industrial parks in Florida and New Jersey. Beyond his own output, the team gained animation capacity it didn't have before, built through his template system and the training he delivered.
Embedded creative that expands a team's range, and earns the kind of trust you only see when the work stops.
